5 things I hope to do

one// I hope to one day soon start doing some small photography things on the side. While I have a long ways to go, I feel like every day I am learning something new and getting better and better. Practice make perfect, as the old saying goes. I have said it before but I don't think I will run out of people to practice on. I love photographing babies, so if you want some free photos I will do some for the practice :)

two// I want to homeschool Nora at least through elementary school. I feel like we could do so much and I already have ideas of fun ways to learn so many new things. I enjoyed being home-schooled and as I look back on it I value it even more. I hope that I can teach Nora so many new things and help her read, count, and explore the wide world around her.

three// I would really like to create a beautiful master bedroom for Ryan and I. Everywhere we have lived thus far has had a tiny bedroom and I just haven't felt that decorating it was a valuable use of my money. One day when we are slightly more settled I have so many wonderful ideas that I'd love to bring to life.

four// I hope that one day we can take Nora on some pretty great adventures around the world. We will hit up Disney World, but I'd like to show her what it's like to explore other countries. I want to take her and Ryan on a zip-line through the rainforest in Costa Rica, and to see the howling monkeys and other magnificent wildlife.

five// I'd really love to write my own cookbook, compiled with my favorite creations and best dishes. I love to cook and create in the kitchen and I think it would be absolutely amazing to have something that I have written published. Cookbooks these days are a dime a dozen but I still think it would be pretty awesome. Maybe I'll write it and sell it for charity.

Here's to a mini bucket list. One that I hope to check off long before I ever start thinking about kicking the bucket. Oh, and while we are on the subject of the world's cutest baby. I figured it wouldn't be blog worthy if I didn't include some absolutely adorable pictures that I took today.

Nora's Room

When I was pregnant with Nora, I had so many big ideas and plans for what her room would look like. I knew paint colors I wanted to use, decor I had in mind, and how I wanted everything to look. We lived with my parents temporarily when Nora was born, so she was in our room there with us (which I loved!) It had a beachy feel, with light colored walls and tans and yellow accents. Right before Christmas we found out we would be moving up to Kentucky for Ryan's job. It's not permeant and we will probably only be here for a year. We found a small townhouse, which had everything we needed.
All that to say, on moving day I was let down. This wasn't how I had pictured her room. It wasn't as big as I had dreamed. It wasn't an ever-so-popular shade of grey. I wanted bigger and better for my baby girl.
I made it my goal to have her room settled before any other room.
And you know what?
I love it.
I am learning, life isn't going to be how you dreamed it would be....
It's much better because it is what God planned.
I am constantly (in this crazy rail-road-wife journey) reminded that each day is special. Each day I have with Nora. Each day I have with Ryan. We aren't living for more things, bigger things, we are in the now and looking forward to the future. Yes one day Nora's room may be as I dreamed it would be. Who knows it may be better, but what is important is that I am happy with the now. Nora doesn't know what color her room is or how big it is, all she cares about is the love and care she gets. And I know I give her the very best I possibly could.

Well with all that said you probably want to see the pictures. I have 3 pictures to hang but I have to order frames for them. So it isn't finished but I like that it is cozy, and most of all ours!

What gives Inspiration...

I could literally make an infinite list of the people and things that inspire me on a daily basis, but I feel that nothing inspires me more than my future.

So that may sound really strange at first but let me explain how my future inspires me and how that too works together with that list I was talking about to create infinite inspiration.

I guess you could say that I am a reflective person. I may not always appear that way, because I am silly at times and goofy, but there is always that side of me that is constantly processing thoughts and thinking about everything. These thoughts are mostly about the future and how I can become a better person or maybe how I want to raise my kids or even just a great idea. It is my deepest hearts desire to be the best daughter in Christ, wife, and mother possible and my future inspires me to pursue my faith, husband, and one day strive to be the best parent possible. I know I am a failure most of the time, but I am getting good at picking up, brushing off the dirt, and moving forward.

My future inspires me, because right now there is so much that it could be. It could be so great. I have so much time {God willing} to honor and worship my savior, to love my husband, and to give endlessly to my future children that I want to become everything I can now to do that in the future.

Now, as my future is my overall inspiration, I am also inspired by people like my Mother, Father, Husband, Ladies around me, other amazing Bloggers who share so honestly about their lives, and even the little things like coffee and great colors and delicious food!
