A little Honesty, a Little Home Decor

In an attempt to be me to you in this thing called blogging, I must be honest and say that life gets you down sometimes.

Just when you think you have the plan figured all out, the plan gets ruined.

Ryan, was in a wreck on Sunday afternoon after my parents left.
GOOD NEWS: he was completely ok, but the old and not so great jeep was hurt.
We are waiting to hear the appraisal of the vehicle and damages, but it can't be much, and the chances of it being totaled are high.
Which leaves us with little $ and only 1 car.

God will provide, he always has, but I will tell you that before you think you have things figured out and plan in place, you should probably just plan for your plan to go wrong!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a 3 hour detour and many unplanned events, we finally got around to what we had planned on doing with our Sunday afternoon.
We turned a vintage calendar into wall art!
What do you think?
We hung them so they would be random and they are all in poster frames which are super cheap!!
I suggest this for a cheap decoration idea!
I hope you all have enjoyed your Tuesday and will have a wonderful Wednesday!
Date Night Jar
I am so excited to share with you one of my latest Pinterest Crafts!
The Date Night Jar idea came from Pinterest {of course} and after going to a marriage seminar at our church on Saturday morning, I thought it would be an awesome way to spice up our marriage.
I am sure if you are on Pinterest you have seen it pinned, but the idea is that you have different dates with different price ranges on different Popsicle sticks.
On a night when you don't know what you and your man want to do, just pull a stick out of the Jar!
What you will need:
Different Colored Popsicle Sticks
Sharpie
Mason Jar
Ribbon
Decorative Adhesives for Outside *optional
Blue: Saturday Morning Dates
Orange: Restaurants
Green: $$$ (expensive dates, over $50)
Yellow: $$ (under $50)
Pink: $ (at home dates)
Applying the adhesive "Love" to the Jar
I was so excited to share my craft with Ryan and he loved the idea, because we can never decide on what to do!
It is inexpensive and really fun to make and is actually quite cute on the shelf!
I cant wait to pull our first date out!
Enjoy your Sunday and if you do the Date Night Jar let me know I'd love to know how it goes!
A "Pinteresting" Sunday ...
After 2 months of "pinning" idea after idea on Pinterest, I finally completed two of the projects I had "pinned" !
I wanted to share my new, awesome DIY home decor!
{The Letter Frame}
What You Will Need:
1.  A medium to large picture frame. [$11]
2. A piece of fabric slightly larger than your frame. [1.99]
3. A block letter (first initial of your first or last name) [1.99]
4. Hot glue gun
5. Wood fabric epoxy
6. paint
7. A handy husband (or helper)
Total Cost $15
Sand down the letter so that the paint will adhere to the surface smoothly and evenly
Be sure to iron out any wrinkles in the fabric before you apply it to the frame insert
Paint your letter a color that will match your fabric and the room
Trim the fabric to reduce excess overhang
Up close view of the fabric
Measure out your letter in order to center it in the frame and then glue it down.
The finished product!
{sorry about the poor lighting}
{The Canvas Collage}
What You Will Need:
1. Four, 14x8 canvases [$2.00 each]
2. Fabric, 1yard x 1yard [$12]
3. Hot glue gun
Total cost $20
This one is Super Simple
Measure out your fabric, and glue it tightly around the canvas.
Arrange the canvases how you like them and have your man hang them!
The FINISHED product!
It is a great feeling to have accomplished two projects in one day!
Give it a shot!
Find a project on Pinterest, get the supplies, and go for it!
You will have a fun time doing them and I promise they will come out better than you think!
Have you tried any Pinterest Projects?
And if so what were they and how did they turn out?
I cant wait to try another project soon!
Keep Pinning!
Keep Blogging!
