An Antsy Heart

I feel like life is just flying by.
Its already almost Halloween!
I work about 30 hours a week and have 1 day off usually that I get to spend doing things that I enjoy and want to do.
Lately I feel like there hasn't been enough time for all the things I want to do.
Like blogging from my heart.

Well today I just want to talk...

Do you ever just feel antsy?
Like you want to move on to more and the next thing.
The biggest problem is that
You know that God is telling you to "cool your jets" and enjoy this time.
Sometimes I feel like my heart is restless to start a family
I long to nurture
and I have always wanted to start our family young,
but at the exact same time I KNOW that this time Ryan is priceless.
We can enjoy each other
do spontaneous things
be just a little more care free together
become more financially stable
build an even stronger relationship together.

This is where my heart is.
Maybe is just a season or maybe God is trying to teach me patience.
Do you ever feel like your desires are for more than you can fulfill?
Do you ever feel like you are being told, "wait"?

  2. This post was written for me! I am totally going through this right now! I have always wanted to start a family young! But you are right, we need to enjoy this precious time with our husbands that won't come again until we are 50. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!

  3. I totally feel you! Sometimes I think I am ready to start a family and want to start NOW, but then I think about all the rational and emotional reasons to wait. Just like you said, this is priceless time with your husband before a family comes. And I feel like the longer I wait for kids, the "younger" I will feel for longer - kids keep you young!

  4. I was very anxious to start a family once we were married....I don't regret having our boys but sometimes I do wish I would have chilled out a bit and enjoyed the alone time with just my husband! Definitely enjoy the season your in and pray that God gives you a clear direction to move in...His timing is always perfect :)

  5. Yep...I want to be a stay at home wife, and take care of things, prepare meals, and potentially open an Etsy store. But that's just not where God has us right now. :) You're right...there is a huge lesson in learning patience and contentment!

  6. I have definitely been there and I always struggle because I'm not a patient and just wait type of person. But, my favorite Scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 and it always reminds to just have faith and He will show me the way! xoxo

  7. I feel like I found your blog on the right day, we just had our little girl 9 weeks ago but I completely remember feeling this way. I feel so grateful for our little life at the moment but it is definitely worth learning to wait - I always want the next thing to be happening and having my daughter is the only thing that has made me want to slow down xx
