Hey there! Well, this is my first blog posting ever, and although I'd like to think it will be read by many, that may be wishful thinking. I decided to take up blogging, which may be more for my enjoyment and growth than for anyone else. Let me start by telling you a little about who I am, and why you may enjoy reading my blog.
The first and most important thing to know about me is that I would be nothing without the love and grace of Jesus Christ. I grew up in a wonderful Christian household, where God was always the center and my parents desired nothing more than for me to love and worship Christ. I saw their faith and dug into the Bible to begin a relationship with Christ all of my own.
The second thing you should know is that Ryan, my husband, is second, only to Christ, in my life. We were married in July of 2010, and it was the best day of my life. We were high school sweethearts, and after four and a half years of dating, he went to my father and asked if we could get married. I will try to randomly share pictures and moments from our wedding and all the fun stories of dating. All my life I have dreamed of being a supportive wife and loving mother. I am working on the wife part, but the mother part can wait for a bit :)
Now that you know about the two most important relationships in my life, I'll list some more interesting things about me that you can look forward to reading about in the posts to follow.
1. Ryan and I adopted the cutest dog ever in May of 2011. His name is Sox!
2. I love to cook and bake yummy dinners and desserts.
3. In addition to baking, I love to decorate cakes, and I have done a few wedding cakes.
4. I love making our tiny apartment feel like home, and can't wait to get our first home that I can decorate and paint, etc.
5. I am studying business administration, concentrating in supply chain, and minoring in accounting. (whew that is a lot to say) In May you can expect to see my graduation post!!
6. I enjoy running, and ran my first 1/2 marathon this past November (2011) in 2 hrs and 12 min.
7. I LOVE to travel and can't wait to travel more (when we have the $). I have been to about 20 different states, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, and Mexico.
Seven is a good number, so I'll stop there, but there is much more I am sure.
